"Peace" Children's and Youth Art
Competition - Exhibition 2024
The “Peace” Children’s and Youth Art Competition-Exhibition held in 2024 aimed to discover talented children in the field of visual arts, promote the development of their creative abilities and self-expression, and create an appropriate environment for them. The competition played a significant role in Armenia’s cultural life, attracting 500 applications from art, fine arts, creative, and aesthetic centers in Yerevan and the regions of the Republic of Armenia.
Competition Process
In the first phase, a thorough selection was conducted, excluding works that showed teacher intervention. The decisive phase included 160 participants who were provided with the necessary art materials to create their own works. The jury chair, T. Matulyan, emphasized that to encourage children’s independent work, teachers should not interfere in their creative process.
